Clinical Staff
Carol
Lobitz M.A., P.T., O.C.S., Director and Owner, obtained a masters
degree in physical therapy from Stanford University and is board certified
as an orthopedic specialist. Prior to establishing OrthoSport in 1989, Carol
held positions as a clinical specialist with two prominent Bay Area physical
therapy groups. She has been a member of the faculty of the Kaiser
Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program, teaching advanced courses
in anatomy and biomechanics. Carol incorporates a broad spectrum of treatment styles
in her practice, including techniques from the Australian, Norwegian, and
Osteopathic schools.
Jan
Cole M.A., P.T., obtained a masters degree in physical therapy from
Stanford University in 1981. After practicing in an adult neurological
rehabilitation facility in the Bay Area for two years, she focused her
practice on orthopedics. Jan has been on the OrthoSport staff since 1992.
Her advanced course work in orthopedics includes two year long courses in
manual therapy with an emphasis in Norwegian and Australian techniques.
Michelle
Dunlap P.T.A., A.T.C., obtained a bachelors degree in physical education
from San Jose State University in 1989, where she had extensive experience
in working with intercollegiate athletic teams. She obtained her
certification as an athletic trainer in 1990 and her license as a physical
therapy assistant in 1994. Michelle has been a member of the OrthoSport
staff since 1990.
Laura
Keller M.S., P.T. obtained a masters degree in Physical Therapy at
the University of the Pacific in 1988. Laura is an orthopedic specialist,
emphasizing manual techniques in her practice. She is an avid
golfer, tennis player
and equestrian enthusiast. Laura has practiced physical
therapy in the
Bay Area since 1988 and joined the OrthoSport staff in 1991.
