The OrthoSport Clinical Staff
Carol LobitzCarol Lobitz M.A., P.T., O.C.S., Director and Owner, obtained a masters degree in physical therapy from Stanford University and is board certified as an orthopedic specialist. Prior to establishing OrthoSport in 1989, Carol held positions as a clinical specialist with two prominent Bay Area physical therapy groups. She has been a member of the faculty of the Kaiser Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program, teaching advanced courses in anatomy and biomechanics. Carol incorporates a broad spectrum of treatment styles in her practice, including techniques from the Australian, Norwegian, and Osteopathic schools.
Paul NorquistPaul Norquist M.P.T., O.C.S., obtained a masters degree in physical therapy from Chapman University in 2000. He is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and has been in private practice in the San Jose area for the past 10 years, joining OrthoSport in 2011.  Paul emphasizes manual therapy techniques based on Norwegian and Osteopathic schools.  He enjoys working closely with physicians and coaches in developing strength and conditioning programs and treatment protocols for post surgical and sport injury prevention. 
Michelle DunlapMichelle Dunlap P.T.A., A.T.C., obtained a bachelors degree in physical education from San Jose State University in 1989, where she had extensive experience in working with intercollegiate athletic teams. She obtained her certification as an athletic trainer in 1990 and her license as a physical therapy assistant in 1994. Michelle has been a member of the OrthoSport staff since 1990.
Jan ColeJan Cole M.A., P.T., obtained a masters degree in physical therapy from Stanford University in 1981. After practicing in an adult neurological rehabilitation facility in the Bay Area for two years, she focused her practice on orthopedics. Jan has been on the OrthoSport staff since 1992. Her advanced course work in orthopedics includes two year long courses in manual therapy with an emphasis in Norwegian and Australian techniques.
Susan LazzariniSusan Lazzarini P.T.A., A.T.C., obtained a bachelors degree in human performance/sports medicine from San Jose State University in 1984, where she worked with the intercollegiate athletic teams. She obtained her certification as an athletic trainer in 1987 and her physical therapy assistant licence in 1991. She has worked in outpatient physical therapy settings since 1984 and also has worked with the athletic teams of local high schools throughout the Bay Area. Susan has been a member of the OrthoSport staff since 2004.
